Citi Irving is actually located in Las Colinas (near Dallas) . Las Colinas is a business district that is roughly about 20 minutes away from Downtown Dallas and on the north side of Irving. The Las Colinas area is safe and full of young professionals. It also has a fantastic lake “canal” to walk along and enjoy during the day or night with restaurants.
Many Citi new grads love living near work. They enjoy the Las Colinas area and there are plenty of great recently built apartments in the area to choose from.
Many Citi Irving / Dallas new hires also LOVE living in the Uptown Dallas area too. Uptown Dallas is right by Downtown Dallas, so consider the commute about 15-20 minutes away. Uptown Dallas it the #1 most popular area for new & recent grads to live in the Dallas area. Picture something like 6th street in Austin, or the Houston Inner Loop. A place that has restaurants, shops, night life and more, all in walking distance or easily accessible by a free Uptown Dallas trolley. A place that is full of young professionals. Uptown Dallas also has a terrific feature for staying fit. It’s the 3.8 mile Katy Trail, a running trail that starts in Victory Park Dallas and extends throughout Uptown Dallas. It’s just a terrific way to get an awesome workout and meet friends as well.
The great thing about living in Uptown Dallas while commuting to Irving is that it is “AGAINST” traffic, so you are driving the opposite direction of most people. That means a shorter, more trouble free commute.
You might also consider OTHER AREAS near Uptown Dallas to experience a similar commute and are also popular. They include Trinity Groves Dallas, Design District Dallas and Bishop Arts Dallas. These areas would be just as close as Uptown if not closer, to commute to Citi Irving.
